Fox Electronics now offers expanded range of low-profile, high-frequency fundamental mode quartz crystals

Fox Electronics, America’s leading supplier of frequency control products, has expanded the range of low-profile, high-frequency fundamental mode SMD quartz crystals it offers. The FD Series crystals are ideal for portable applications or any application that requires high reliability frequency control in limited space, including laptop computers, PCMCIA, pocket LAN adapters, wireless applications and disk drives.

The FD crystal measures just 7.5 mm x 5 mm, with a profile of 1.1 mm and offers an expanded frequency range of 8 MHz to 200 MHz. All frequencies are available in fundamental mode, which provides a clean signal for high-end network and communications applications.

The crystal has a frequency tolerance of ± 50 PPM; a frequency stability of ± 50 PPM; and an operating temperature of –10° C (+14° F) to +60° C (+140° F). The FD crystal is available with an optional tolerance and stability of 10 PPM for telecommunications and other tight tolerance applications.
