New higher power and lower capacitance products increase range of options for protecting communications circuits

With this product line expansion, Littelfuse can now supply axial leaded TVS diodes with ratings from 400W to 30kW, and surface-mount TVS diodes in power ratings from 400W to 5kW.

The seven new products were designed to increase circuit protection by absorbing more transient current and reduce transmission loss on signal lines.

Both bidirectional and unidirectional polarities are available and reverse standoff voltages range from 5 to 495V. All Littelfuse TVS Diodes are also RoHS compliant, being plated with lead-free tin and the plastic package meets the flammability requirements of UL 94V-0.

When used on signal lines, the new low-capacitance (less than 50pF) TVS diodes help to reduce transmission loss in ADSL, modem, and similar functions. Higher power TVS diodes absorb more transient current to protect the circuit, which is useful for LNB) circuit protection and industrial power line protection.

Littelfuse TVS Diodes are designed to provide precision clamping capability and low incremental surge resistance to protect sensitive components while limiting transmission loss. They feature fast response times, typically less than 1.0ps from 0V to the minimum breakdown voltage.
